Mamuka Bakhtadze, Prime Minister of Georgia met Jim Carr, Minister of International Trade Diversification of Canada within the scope of World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos.

Key topics of discussion were the recent success stories of Georgia, including the Free Trade Agreements (FTA) and rich hydro resources of the country.

Focus was made on trends of international trade, along with the diversification of Canadian trade policy. Prime Minister of Georgia noted that effective integration of the country in the global economy is the main goal of the Government of Georgia (GOG).

Discussion was related to the significance of essential trade-specific infrastructure development and efforts made by Georgia towards this end.

Head of Government of Georgia and Minister of International Trade Diversification of Canada discussed potential cooperation of the two countries in various sectors of the economy. Canadian official invited Georgian dignitaries to an international fair in Canada, which will be open for natural resource exploration companies.

Meeting was attended by Giorgi Kobulia, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia.
