Mamuka Bakhtadze, Prime Minister of Georgia visited Library of Akaki Tsereteli State University in Kutaisi today.

Advanced technologies have been introduced to the library. Old and unique books have been restored and conserved. Digital bibliography entries have been created and high quality electronic copies have been produced.

Prime Minister of Georgia met with students, young sportsmen and coaches at the University and talked about the significance of establishing a healthy life style in the country.

"I wish to tell you that every national goal may be achieved through education. It is gratifying that such a library has been opened in Kutaisi. It is thrilling that it will render services not only to students, but any interested individual and the region at large. It is particularly pleasing to me that the library will soon have an addition in the face of a Business Incubator. A modern lab exists already and youth can realize their ideas here" added the Prime Minister of Georgia.

According to the Head of Government of Georgia, a decision has been made to open an Olympic swimming pool of modern standards in Kutaisi.

"In addition to this, we had a meeting with celebrity athletes. Kutaisi historically has had great achievements in water polo and most successful pages in the history of this type of sports have been written by sportsmen from Kutaisi. Hence, we have taken a decision, which was in making for a long time, to start the construction of an Olympic swimming pool in Kutaisi and it will host tournaments of any scale and magnitude" concluded the Prime Minister of Georgia.
