Today, Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze was hosted by his Moldovan counterpart Pavel Filip at the Government House.

The parties discussed the issues of empowering the role of GUAM, further deepening bilateral relations, and common challenges.

As it was emphasized during the meeting, Georgia and Moldova enjoy excellent relations at the highest political and economic levels, and their cooperation in bilateral, GUAM, and Eastern Partnership formats is quite positive.

The parties also pointed out that the friendship between the Georgians and the Moldovans paves the way for the dynamic development of business ties across a variety of areas.

The parties also underlined the importance of joint efforts in dealing with common challenges.

After the face-to-face conversation, the meeting between the Prime Ministers of Georgia and Moldova continued in a wider format with the participation of the two countries' Cabinet members.

The Georgian side thanked Prime Minister Filip for his contribution to the deepening of cooperation between the two countries in a number of fields.

The parties reaffirmed their commitment to the full utilization of the potential in their bilateral relations.

After the meeting, the Governments of Georgia and the Republic of Moldova signed the Agreement for Exchange of Confidential Information. The document was signed by Georgian Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani and Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Tudor Ulianovschi of the Republic of Moldova.
