The strengthening of the role of GUAM in the international arena, transport infrastructure projects, increasing trade turnover between the member states, and the development of the GUAM-Japan and GUAM-US formats were the key topics discussed at today's meeting of the GUAM Heads of Government in Moldova.

During the meeting, with the participation of Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze, Prime Minister of Moldova Pavel Filip, Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman, and Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Akhmedov, special emphasis was placed on the importance of deepening sectoral cooperation and full use of the organization's potential.

The parties discussed the strengthening of internal political and economic consolidation within the organization, intensification of relations with GUAM partner countries and other international organizations, and further promotion of GUAM's parliamentary dimension.

As it was pointed out, the territorial integrity of the GUAM member states is one of the most painful problems and a common challenge. In this context, the need to intensify the political consolidation of the member states under GUAM and further mobilization of international support was underlined.

Special emphasis was also placed on the cooperation format between GUAM and its partner states, the US and Japan, also on prospects of creating new partnerships and cooperation with international organizations.
