I wish to respond to the kidnapping of Maya Otinashvili, mother of three small children and resident of Khurvaleti village by the occupation forces.
We were assuming this morning that her release would be possible within several hours, though it has not happened yet.
Relevant government agencies have been deploying all the tools and mechanisms within their capacity and communication channels round the clock to have our citizen released. Hot line has been activated and international organizations are kept informed.
I instructed the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia to personally meet officials of international organizations and diplomatic corps today and provide detailed information on the occurrence. We need to do our best to make sure that our citizen returns to her family.
