Vision of the Prime Minister of Georgia on the education system reform and role of the World Bank in the transformation process of the country were main discussion points at the meeting of Mamuka Bakhtadze, Prime Minister of Georgia and Jim Yong Kim, President of the World Bank Group held in Washington D.C. today.

Head of the Government of Georgia stated that education reform and development of human capital are top priorities of the country and are attuned with the directions of the World Bank Human Capital Index.

It was noted that it is the human capital development, that leads to a sustainable and inclusive economic growth among other essential pre-requisites.

Prime Minister of Georgia expressed his gratitude to the President of the World Bank Group and exposed him to the reforms planned towards the facilitation of small and medium enterprises (SME).

It was stressed that Georgia is ranked high in terms of the ease of doing business in the World Bank index and the country position has been further improved in the recent years.

Prime Minister also noted that it is gratifying to see Georgian individuals among the employees of the World Bank Group HQ, which enables them to gain the significant work experience and to later share this knowledge with their compatriots in Georgia.
