As noted by the Head of the Government of Georgia, innovative method of public procurement implying the centralization of all lots for bidding results in much effective public expenditures and reduction of costs associated with public procurement at large.

"Along with the economic development and advancement of the country, we witness an increase in the budget allocations for public procurement. It raises the importance and strategic significance of the effective performance of the public procurement system. Therefore, I believe it essential to cardinally transform the public procurement by introducing modern, innovative methods to centralize all lots for bidding. This approach enables us to further increase the effective spending of public funds, reduce the costs related to public procurement, thereby minimizing the risk of irrational public expenditures. We will thus be collating all the public procurement lots scattered around at various public institutions into a centralized manner to get optimized into an applicable structure. We will thus be able to better coordinate the public procurement, thereby reducing the risk of potential corruption and preventing such malpractices altogether" concluded the Prime Minister of Georgia.

According to the Head of the Government of Georgia, fully fledged introduction of the referred system is estimated to save about 100 million GEL from the State Budget.
