Mamuka Bakhtadze, Prime Minister of Georgia paid tribute to the heroes fallen in August War.

Head of the Government of Georgia brought wreath of garland to the Memorial of Heroes in Mukhatgverdi Cemetery together with officials of national authorities of the country and high ranking dignitaries of friendly nations.

Prime Minister of Georgia expressed his gratitude for the support expressed towards the country as manifested in the high ranking visit marking 10 years since the Russian-Georgian war back in 2008.

"Russia executed yet another aggression towards Georgia 10 years ago. It was an aggression towards the Georgian state. Our citizens were killed and I wish to express condolences to every family that lost their children, mothers, fathers, brothers, next to kin or friends. Unfortunately, 20% of the Georgian territory is still occupied and our citizens have no possibility to go back to their original dwellings. Building of a strong state, irrevocable integration with Europe, establishment of a strong society and competitive economy is our clear response to this. I wish to express my gratitude to all our friendly nations for their support and assistance. Similar to 10 years ago, they remain by our side. They were supporting us in the recent history of the country and Georgian people will never forget it" stated the Prime Minister of Georgia.
