Mamuka Bakhtadze, Prime Minister of Georgia met with H.E. Pascal Meunier, Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary Ambassador of the Republic of France to Georgia today.

Diplomat conveyed the official congratulation from the Prime Minister of France to the Head of Government of Georgia.

Discussions were related to the high level political relations between the two countries and need was expressed to advance the economic ties to the same level.

Ambassador of France praised the reforms planned by the Government of Georgia, including those related to the inclusive economic growth and development of human capital in the country.

Significance of intensified business interaction was stressed at the meeting. Prime Minister of Georgia noted that he welcomes and will always eagerly support the French investments to Georgia.

Attention was paid to the current situation at the occupied territories of Georgia. French diplomat positively assessed the peace-keeping initiative of the Government of Georgia titled as a Step Towards Better Future, which will facilitate intensified contact between the affected people and restoration of trust.

Parties also spoke about cooperation in the education sector and noted that establishment of a French-Georgian University will facilitate the intensified interaction, thus resulting from the agreement recently concluded by and between the two countries.
