2017-02-21

On February 21, 2017, a Government meeting chaired by Georgia's Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili was held at the Administration of the Government. The Cabinet discussed 29 issues on the agenda.

By the decision of the Government meeting, another manufacturing project was approved under the Produce in Georgia state program. This enterprise will be established in the village of Aghdgomiantkari, Mtskheta Municipality, and the Golden Grains company will receive state-owned land for a symbolic price (one GEL) to construct necessary buildings and facilities. Within two months, the company will create and launch an animal, poultry, and fish feed plant. To fulfill its obligations to the state, Golden Grains plans to invest 174,980 GEL.

The Cabinet approved the draft decree of the Government of Georgia on "Amendments to the March 29, 2016 Decree #150 of the Government of Georgia on the Approval of the State Program for Supporting Dairy Agricultural Cooperatives". The draft decree will enable the shareholders of cooperatives equipped with goat and sheep milking devices and cheese making machinery to meet in their operations HACCP standards and the requirements of the Technical Regulations on Milk and Dairy Products. By producing cheese, along with goat milk, they will implement a unified production cycle, which will significantly increase their revenues.

At the initiative of the Georgian Ministry of Culture and Monument Protection, and on the decision of the Government of Georgia, the Ateshga cultural monument is now included in the category of monuments of national importance. Ateshga is one of the most ancient shrines found in Tbilisi, in the upper section of the Kala District, below the Narikala Fortress, at 3 Gomi Street. Ateshga is the only surviving fire-worship temple in Georgia, with planning and structure characteristic of Zoroastrian temples referred to in Old Georgian as "artoshani". Ateshga's hemispheric dome is featured in almost every archived graphic image of Tbilisi.
