Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Kvirikashvili held a meeting with the new Ambassador of Japan to Georgia Tadaharu Uehara.

Deepening of the bilateral relations between Georgia and Japan, reinforcement of the economic ties and ongoing reforms were the main conversation topics of the introductory meeting.

The Prime Minister of Georgia informed the Ambassador of Japan on the investment climate in Georgia as well as implemented and ongoing reforms.
Interest towards better representation of Japan in Georgia, through increasing the amount of Japanese companies and developing business relations was expressed as well.
The Ambassador of Japan positively assessed the progress achieved by Georgia as well as the climate in Georgia. Tadaharu Uehara expressed interest to assist in attracting more Japanese companies to Georgia, deepening bilateral relations and economic ties.
The Prime Minister of Georgia thanked Japan for solid and active support for sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country - a priority of utmost importance.
On behalf of the Government of Georgia Giorgi Kvirikashvili expressed full readiness to maximally support further development of bilateral relations with Japan.
Tedo Japaridze, the Prime Minister's Adviser on Foreign Affairs also attended the meeting.
