Prime Minister's Visit at the 72nd Session of the UNGA Has Started Print Version

Georgia joins the US-initiated UN Reform Political Declaration to be signed by UN Member States. The document was joined by Georgia during Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili's visit to attend the 72nd Session of the UN General Assembly.

Visit of Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Kvirikashvili in New York for the 72nd Session of the United Nations General Assembly has started.

Today the head of the Government attended "UN Reform", an event organized by the US President and the UN Secretary General. U.S. President Donald Trump and UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres spoke at the event. They put particular emphasis on the UN activities and reforms undertaken with the support of the Organization.
Today, Georgian Prime Minister will also meet with President Donald Tusk of the European Council and OSCE Secretary General Thomas Greminger.
During his visit to New York, on September 19, will participate in OGP's High-Ranking Event during which the Prime Minister of Georgia will succeed French President Emanuel Macron as OGP President for one-year tenure. Georgia, for the first time in OGP's history, is about to chair this organization (initiative) bringing together 75 countries.
Georgian Prime Minister is scheduled to deliver a speech at the 72nd UN General Assembly Session on September 21.
During his visit, the head of the Government will also hold bilateral meetings.
