It has been scientifically proven that winemaking started in Georgia around 8 000 years ago; there is an uninterrupted tradition of winemaking and the oldest unearthed Qvevri-type vessel dates back to VI-V centuries B.C. After 3 years of research, leading specialists from 7 different countries confirmed that Georgia is the homeland of wine.
