Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Kvirikashvili held a meeting with Speaker of Knesset of State of Israel Yuli Edelstein.
The sides discussed successful bilateral cooperation that has been actively developing throughout the past few years. Particular emphasis was put on the 25-year long diplomatic relations between the countries and the centuries of friendship. Giorgi Kvirikashvili and Yuli Edelstein also commended partnership between the legislative bodies of Israel and Georgia and active efforts of the friendship groups.
Particular attention was paid to the progress achieved by Georgia across wide range of areas. Prime Minister of Georgia briefed the Speaker of Knesset on the going and already implemented reforms. It was indicated that the visit of the head of the Government of Georgia, alongside with the high-level bilateral visits, will give a new impetus to the development of the friendly relations between the countries.
Meeting with Isaac Herzog, the leader of the opposition party was also held today.
The conversation touched upon the active cooperation between Israel and Georgia as well as intensive relations between the countries.
Giorgi Kvirikashvili also laid a wreath at the Memorial of the Fallen Soldiers and signed the guestbook.
