Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili held a meeting today with Bridget Brink (Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs) and the members of the visiting US delegation.

The parties discussed issues defined in the US-Georgia Charter on Strategic Partnership and joint efforts to promote the empowerment of Georgia's democratic institutions.

As it was pointed out at the meeting, the US continues providing Georgia with significant assistance in a variety of directions, including democratic development and the fields of economy, defense, and security. The dialogue involved Georgia's ongoing democratic reforms, in particular constitutional and public service reforms and the third wave of Georgia's justice reform, which, according to the parties, is important not only for strengthening the judiciary, but for attracting investments in general. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Bridget Brink commended Georgia's impressive progress in the process of reforms.

During the meting, the Prime Minister's successful visit to Washington was summarized, during which the US Administration expressed its commitment to deepening its strategic partnership with Georgia. The parties also discussed Georgia's European and Euro-Atlantic integration.

The meeting at the Administration of the Government was attended by Georgia's Foreign Minister Mikheil Janelidze and the Prime Minister's Foreign Adviser Tedo Japaridze.
