The situation in Georgia's occupied territories and in the villages along the occupation line was discussed at today's meeting between Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili and Chair of the US Senate Armed Services Committee John McCain.

Giorgi Kvirikashvili reiterated the importance of the US bill featuring a passage on the occupation of Georgian territories. As it was pointed out during the meting, the US is committed to continuing supporting Georgia's sovereignty and territorial integrity.

According to Senator McCain, official Washington is standing by Georgia on its path to European and Euro-Atlantic integration. The meeting also stressed Georgia's contribution to the protection of global security and the fight against terrorism.

Giorgi Kvirikashvili and John McCain also discussed the situation in the region. According to the Senator, Georgia's security and stability is important to both the region and the world as a whole.
