Very important reforms are underway in Georgia, and very good conditions are in place for investments. We will be happy to take advantage of these investment opportunities and develop trade relations, Speaker of the Iranian Majlis Consultative Assembly Ali Larijani addressed the Prime Minister of Georgia at today's meeting. According to the Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, Iran is positive about the development of its relations with Georgia. Ali Larijani hopes that Giorgi Kvirikashvili's state visit will further promote this process.

Giorgi Kvirikashvili thanked the Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly for hospitality. According to Giorgi Kvirikashvili, the Government of Georgia considers relations with Iran as one of its highest priorities.

"Developing trade and economic relations serves the interests of both of our countries. This year marks the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations with Iran, and I believe today we can already consider advancing to a qualitatively new level," Giorgi Kvirikashvili stated.

The discussion also involved the development of the Persian Gulf-Black Sea transport corridor and deeper cooperation in the fields of agriculture and energy.

The Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly commended the cooperation between the two countries' legislative bodies.
