The Cabinet session was held today at the Administration of the Government under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili. The Cabinet discussed 28 issues placed on the agenda, 7 issues were added.

Cabinet of Ministers approved draft projects of new enterprises submitted within the frames of State Program "Produce in Georgia" as well as several important ordinances.

Meat products factory that is planned to be established in Tbilisi will employ 190 individuals; investment in an amount of 3 755 202 GEL is envisaged; another factory producing pasta, bread, baked goods and pastry will be established in Ochkhamuri settlement in Kobuleti. It will employ 160 people and 320 000 GEL will be invested in this venture.

The Government will adopt relevant decision on transferring state-owned property to the relevant companies for the purpose of establishing said enterprises. Furthermore, coffee-processing factory will be established on Kakheti highway within the timeframe of 2 years. For this purpose, the company will invest 11 277 000 GEL and employ 30 people.

Tea-processing factory will be constructed in village of Gurianta in Ozurgeti. For ths purpose 57 000 sq.m state-owned land plot will be leased for 25 years by the entrepreneur.

Government of Georgia approved the 2016-2020 National Strategy on Elimination of Hepatitis C during today's Cabinet Session. Government aims at ensuring that 90% of patients infected with Hepatitis C virus are screened and 95% of the patients with respective disease are treated by 2020. Relevant 5-year strategic plan was drafted to eliminate Hepatitis C and fostering national response mechanism. The overall budget of 5-year strategic plan is over 116 226 095 GEL, 57 160 850 GEL will be allocated from the state budget.

According to the decision of the Government, procedure of appointment of bonuses to beneficiaries of pension payments and social assistance packages permanently residing in mountainous regions will be significantly simplified, furthermore, administration of issuance of allowances will be refined. If the person was granted the status of permanent resident of mountainous regions by the LEPL Public Service Development Agency under the Ministry of Justice as prescribed by the Law on Development of Mountainous Regions, pursuant to the relevant decision of the Agency, the allowance will be automatically allocated to individual. Allocation and issuance of concession is administered by the Social Service Agency automatically - without written motion of the interested person.
