Prime Minister of Georgia visited the headquarters of "Rtveli 2016" located in Telavi and examined the results of the harvest monitoring process.

Pursuant to Giorgi Samanashvili, the Chair of National Wine Agency, the headquarters is operating in an extraordinary regime. 68.4 thousand tons of grapes have been processed. 11 thousand farmers sold the grapes to the wine companies.

Giorgi Kvirikashvili outlined complete readiness of the government to hold this year's harvest in an organized and uninterrupted manner. Pursuant to him, interests of farmers and entrepreneurs are of utmost importance to the Government. Head of the Government hoped that this year's harvest would be successful and none of the farmers would be left with unsold goods.

In line with the Government decision, natural persons selling grapes to the wine companies registered with the harvest headquarters will be subsidized by state in a following manner:
Kakheti region - 1 kg of Rkatsiteli - 0.45 GEL;
1 kg. Kakhuri Mtsvane - 0.45 GEL;
1 kg. Saperavi - 0.2 GEL;
Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - Mujuretuli/Aleksandrouli - 2 GEL.

Data on sold grapes is registered with the unified e-database via special software and any interested persons are free to view the updated information in an online regime at the following webpages of the National Wine Agency of Georgia: www.georgianwine.gov.ge; www.rtveli2016.gov.ge.

Minister of Agriculture Levan Davitashvili and the Governor of Kakheti Region Irakli Kadagishvili attended the meeting at the headquarters.
