H.E. Giorgi Kvirikashvili, Prime Minister of Georgia met with H.E. Frank-Walter Steinmeier, Federal Minister of Foreign Affairs of Germany in New York today.
Meeting was focused on the bilateral cooperation in different areas and Georgia's path to the European and Euro-Atlantic Integration.
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Germany noted that Georgia leads among the Eastern Partnership Countries of the European Union with its successful implementation and adherence to all the criteria envisaged in the Visa Liberalization Action Plan (VLAP).

Georgia's parliamentary elections this October were also discussed. According to the Prime Minister of Georgia, it is a government intention and desire to hold the elections in free and transparent manner by complying with international standards and best practices of democracy. Largest number of international observers have thus been invited to achieve this goal.
Focus was also made on the further advancement and development of bilateral economic relations. Prime Minister of Georgia pledged to support German investments in Georgia.
