We will definitely introduce the right system of technical inspection that will be accessible, corruption free and in line with the best European practices, - answered the Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili responded to the question of the journalist concerning the report of the International Energy Agency, according to which Georgia is among the countries with high level of air pollution.

Pursuant to the Prime Minister, the situation in Georgia is truly challenging and decision made years ago regarding the abolition of technical inspection was completely erroneous.
"Instead of amelioration of existing regulations and improve technical conditions to eliminate the ugly model that prior existed. However, we opted to abolish the inspection altogether. I consider that we need to restore said institute while following the best European practice. We plan to invite international organization to set up correct system and eliminate the chance of corruption in this system. Most importantly, we have to make it accessible. Today our children get sick and the indicator of child cancers is very high in Georgia. We cannot sacrifice health of our future generations to ensure that Georgia is proud of its limited number of regulations. We have to strike a balance between the regulations and healthcare of our population," - Prime Minister noted.
