Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili chaired a government session where the Cabinet discussed 28 key agenda items, including Georgia's Notary Law and recent programs for internally displaced people (IDP).

During the session, the Cabinet amended Georgia's Notary Law. Over the next three years, notaries who open new offices will now be required to open their offices only in their respective regions. The Chamber of Notaries will provide financial assistance and notaries will be exempt from income taxes for three years.

The session also discussed the ongoing programs to transfer homes to IDP. Recently, 384 families have been granted free residences. Since 2012, 9,721 IDP families have received free residences, and over 10,000 families have benefited from the initiative overall.

In addition, residential spaces will be transferred free of charge to 384 IDP families. Free residential spaces have been transferred to 9,721 families since 2012 and over 10,000 families have benefited from this initiative in total.
