Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili presented the government's three-year activity report, which highlighted the country's significant growth and development, as well as progress towards increased European integration.
The report discussed numerous elements contributing to Georgia's growth and development, including: strong state institutions; transparent and accountable governance; steps towards European and Euro-Atlantic integration; energy projects; increased access to healthcare and education; rural and economic development; cultural strategy; sports achievements; apolitical law enforcement agencies; competitive business environment; independent judiciary system and improved election and labor legislation.
"We all want to do well today, but most of all, we would like to protect our children and ourselves from the hardships and tragedies we have been through and ensure a better future. We want to get stronger in reality and not in the charts or propaganda campaigns. Labor is not a sensation and it does not always appear in the news. Often, the outcomes of this work are not shown by the media. Of course we must remember the government, which was based on myths. But Georgian society is no longer willing to live in with those illusions. The main subject of today's report is the work of vineyard farmers and scientists, businessmen and civil servants. Such work gradually and consistently creates a new reality, in which there is no place for those illusions. I believe that today our people see this reality, see that we have taken the right path towards a better future for our children and ourselves. We have spared no efforts to ensure that we are the government people deserve. We are equipped with faith and vigor and a clear vision of future. Our team is driven by only one ambition - to be remembered over the years for our actions. We would like people to say that we did everything with honor and that our talented people worked hard," stated Prime Minister Garibashvili.
The Prime Minister also underscored the government's achievements and future plans, adding that the Georgian Dream Coalition remains committed to ensuring it retains the trust of Georgian citizens.
Representatives of the government administration, diplomatic corps, international and non-governmental organizations, internally displaced persons, ethnic minorities, students, educational and cultural figures, businessmen, healthcare professionals, as well as members of the executive and legislative branches, also attend the event.
