Prime Minister’s visit to Brussels

EU allocates the grant of 30 million Euros for Georgia - the financial statement was signed on November 18 in Brussels by the Georgian Prime Minister and European commissioner for European neighborhood policy and enlargement Johannes Hahn.
The aim of the grant is to support Georgian regional development strategy and implementation of economic and social support programs in the regions.

The Georgian Prime Minister visited Brussels on November 17-18. The head of the Government with the Georgian delegation attended the first meeting of Georgia-EU association council which was led by the EU high representative for foreign and security policy. After the first meeting of the association council the joint press conference of Irakli Garibashvili and Federica Mogherini was held.

One of the first meetings of the Georgian Prime minister's visit to Brussels was held in the HQ of NATO. Irakli Garibashvili was hosted by the general secretary of the alliance Iens Stoltenberg after which joint press conference was held.
Within the two-day visit the head of the Georgian government also met the president of European Parliament Martin Schultz. The parties made joint statements for the media.

Negotiations were held with European commissioners, including European commissioner for neighborhood policy and enlargement issues Johannes Hahn and European commissioner for trade Sesilia Malmstrom.
The Georgian delegation apart from the Prime Minister consisted of the minister of economy and sustainable development Giorgi Kvirikashvili, minister of foreign affairs Tamar Beruchashvili, minister of justice Tea Tsulukiani, minister of defense Mindia Janelidze, state minister for European and Euro Atlantic integration Davit Bakradze, state minister for reconciliation and civic equality Paata Zakareishvili and deputy chief of Government administration Nino Kobakhidze.
