Refugee entrepreneurs receive machinery and equipment to expand their businesses

Refugee entrepreneurs receive grants to expand their businesses.

Based on the recent agreement between the Internally Displaced Persons, Ecomigrants and Livelihood Agency and the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR), 15 entrepreneurs have been granted a total of 110,000 GEL's worth of equipment and machinery. Alongside supporting the entrepreneurial activities of IDPs, the project's key goal is to promote the employment and integration of persons under international protection. The beneficiary entrepreneurs employ refugee status holders and stateless persons in their enterprises.

The agency is implementing a variety of projects to encourage employment among IDPs.
