Municipal transport to serve Gori for the first time Print Version

Municipal transport is about to be launched in Gori for the first time. From February 8, 25 new buses will serve Gori, with 5 more to be added to the city's transport fleet soon.
At the initial stage, passengers are offered to ride free.
These EURO 5 buses were purchased with financial support from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
The new buses meet all technical requirements of modern standards, including EU-standard air-conditioning systems.
COVID-19 prevention recommendations will be observed on the buses, which will be disinfected at the end of each workday.
Notably, the new buses are eco-friendly.
All buses are fully adapted for persons with disabilities.
Bus fleets are actively replenished in the regions.
With support from EBRD in 2020, 183 buses were procured for 7 cities.

  • Kutaisi (60)
  • Rustavi (40)
  • Gori (30)
  • Zugdidi (25)
  • Telavi (10)
  • Poti (10)
  • Batumi (8 e-buses)

Of which 126 buses have already been transferred to municipalities.
The project allows citizens to enjoy modern, safe, and comfortable municipal transport.
