Payment of 1200 GEL compensations continues for citizens of Georgia, who lost jobs in the 2nd wave of the pandemic

Applications are still admitted by the Inland Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia for the payment of compensations in the value of 1 200 GEL (200 GEL a month for 6 months). Employers are expected to file online applications for the current month by close of business on February 22, 2021 via an authorised web portal of users https://eservices.rs.ge.

First compensation in the value of 200 GEL has been received already by over 106 000 individuals. If employers fail to file applications or data changes, they may be able to re-submit through February 22, 2021 to make sure that employees who lost jobs will be entitled to be paid compensation.

By 20th date of every month for 6 months, employers should submit a list of individuals, who were hired and paid for any two or more months from January through November 2020, as well as those who were hired from December 2020 through February 2021, but did not receive salary for one or more months.

In addition, compensations will be paid to employees, who are on an annual leave due to pregnancy, childbirth, child care or child adoption.

If an employer does not file an application every following month, Inland Revenue Service will be using the one filed for a previous month when compiling a list of individuals to be compensated.
