Power Energy Consumption Subsidy Gets Applied to Producers of Food Products Print Version

Food producers of certain categories will get state subsidies for 50% of the difference between the consumer tariffs on power energy of 2020 and 2021.

Partial subsidy on the utility bill for power energy and applicable terms and conditions are laid out in the Government Decree, which has already come into effect with the Order of Giorgi Gakharia, Prime Minister of Georgia.

✅Entrepreneurs eligible to benefit from the partial subsidy should submit an application form to the following electronic platform: https://registration.gov.ge/electricity. Applications are admitted from January 13 through January 27, 2021.

✅Subsidy covers entrepreneurship in the following sectors of the economy:

  • Poultry;
  • Meat processing and canning;
  • Processing and canning of poultry meat;
  • Production of meat products;
  • Fish, lobster and shellfish processing and canning;
  • Processing and canning of potatoes;
  • Other forms of processing and canning of fruit and vegetables;
  • Production of oils and fats;
  • Production of margarine and similar food fats;
  • Processing and production of dairy products;
  • Production of flour and cereal products;
  • Production of starch and products derived from starch;
  • Production of bread, confectionary products of short shelf life, cakes and similar products;
  • Production of cookies and dry cakes;
  • Production of pasta, noodles, couscous and similar pastries;
  • Production of sugar;
  • Production of herbs and spices;
  • Production of homogenic food supplements and dietary food products;
  • Production of ready-made fodder for farms and pets.

 

Entrepreneurs that are eligible for the partial subsidy and (will) have utility bills for power energy paid during 2021, will get their accounts credited with the surplus directly to their individual subscription card.

✅ამასთან, In addition, partial subsidy should not be used for the payment of arrears accumulated by eligible entrepreneurs prior to January 1, 2021.

✅ As for the tariffs set for citizens of Georgia, the Government of Georgia will fully subsidize the difference between the tariff defined for power energy consumption in 2020 and 2021, provided no more than 301 kw is consumed by an individual subscriber.
