Caring for the Village and Farmers: The agricultural anti-crisis plan's programs are enjoyed uninterruptedly by farmers who receive significant state support

More than 169,000 farmers have been awarded agricultural points. In excess of 29.5 million GEL in subsidies has been awarded, of which over 23.4 million GEL has been used at specialized retail stores. Awarding of agricultural points continues.

Under the program for agricultural diesel assistance, more than 123,000 beneficiaries have received discount cards for up to 32,000 tons of agricultural diesel. Farmers who have used their discount cards have saved a total of almost 5 million GEL.

Under the agricultural insurance program, over 17,000 policies were issued by October 30, 2020, to cover 18,000 hectares of land, up 31% year-over-year. The value of insured crops exceeds 160 million GEL.

Under the state program for modernizing dairy farming and securing market access, 255 applications have been approved in Imereti, Kakheti, Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti, Samtskhe-Javakheti, and Kvemo Kartli, with state co-financing amounting to 12.4 million GEL.

Under the affordable agricultural credit program, to secure financing for growing annual plants, the state will cover 6 months' worth of interests in full. 2,893 agricultural loans have been issued for over 57 million GEL, including in excess of 4.7 million GEL in co-financing of loan interests by the agency.

The program for promoting agricultural production engages 387 beneficiaries, including 50% of the price of agricultural machinery financed for 252 beneficiaries, and the applications of 135 beneficiaries approved for arranging and modernizing greenhouses, purchasing and installing basic equipment, and for purchasing and installing irrigation systems for annual agricultural plants.

33,325 subscribers have been exempted from amelioration service taxes, this way saving 3,733,010 GEL.
