From the morning of 27 April, traveling by car and operating taxis, online trade (wholesale and retail), delivery services on any type of product, and the operation of open agrarian markets will permitted, according to Prime Minister's Spokesman Irakli Chikovani.

The prime minister's spokesman explained that the aforementioned restrictions will be lifted throughout the entire country, with the exception of the municipalities and administrative units that have been placed under strict quarantine.

"As it is known, the government has developed a plan that envisages the gradual lifting of the imposed restrictions, which was presented by the prime minister on Friday;

In accordance with the aforementioned plan, the first stage of easing the measures and reopening the economy will take effect on 27 April.
This means that starting on 27 April, it will be permitted to travel by car and to operate taxis; online trade (wholesale and retail), delivery services on any type of product, and the operation of open agrarian markets will also be fully allowed.

The aforementioned restrictions will be lifted throughout the entire country, with the exception of the municipalities and administrative units that have been placed under strict quarantine.

Additionally, it should be stressed that all of this applies to the companies, institutions, and facilities that meet the regulations developed by the Ministry of Healthcare," Irakli Chikovani stated.

Furthermore, as it is known, it has been forbidden to enter or leave Tbilisi, Rustavi, Batumi, or Kutaisi since 21:00 on April 15, for the duration of the state of emergency.

However, as an exception, it will be permitted to enter or leave the big cities on 27 and 28 April with the purpose of returning to one's actual place of residence.

Additionally, Irakli Chikovani noted that based on the analysis of the epidemiological situation, it is possible that the lifted restrictions may be re-imposed, and that the timeline of each subsequent stage coming into force may be revised.

"On 27 and 28 April, as an exception, it will be permitted to enter the aforementioned big cities and to leave these cities, solely with the purpose of returning to one's actual place of residence, and not for any other purpose. I would like to emphasize that this is possible only in order to return to one's actual place of residence. At this point it should also be noted that entering or leaving these cities with the aim of returning to one's registered legal address is possible at any time, according to the regulations in force at the moment. All other restrictions in place under the state of emergency remain in force. This includes the curfew, which remains in force from 21:00 to 06:00.

Furthermore, we would like to reiterate that based on the analysis of the epidemiological situation, it is possible that the lifted restrictions may be re-imposed, and the timeline of each subsequent stage coming into force may be revised," Irakli Chikovani stated.
