Irakli Chikovani: Effective 9 PM Today, a Curfew Comes Into Force, With All movement Prohibited From 9 PM To 6 AM Print Version

Effective 9 PM today, a curfew comes into force, which means that all movement, pedestrian or transport, will be prohibited from 9 PM to 6 AM, the Georgian Prime Minister's Adviser and Press Speaker Irakli Chikovani stated at today's briefing at the Government Administration.

According to Irakli Chikovani, the curfew does not apply to trucks and the motor vehicles of entities carrying out critically important duties, such as the police, armed forces, designated medically equipped vehicles, certain public servants, and others.

"I once again urge Georgian citizens strictly to observe movement restrictions under the state of emergency which come into force at 9 PM today until 6 AM throughout the state of emergency. I urge you to observe these restrictions. Failure to comply entails fines: 3,000 GEL for individuals and 15,000 for legal entities. We urge you to observe the restrictions coming into force at 9 PM today," Irakli Chikovani said.
