Six Candidates to Participate in the Competition for One Vacant Membership of the Georgian National Communication Commission Print Version

Six persons have applied to compete for one vacant membership of the Georgian National Communication Commission. Relevant applications, within deadlines, have been submitted to the Administration of the Government by Zaur Otiashvili, Tamar Chelidze, Temur Dzagnidze, Nino Kubinidze, Vakhtang Abashidze, and Sergo Shavgulidze.

In line with legislation, a list of the candidates and their competition documentations have been made public on the official website of the Government Administration.

On April 16, 2020, the term of one of the members of the Georgian National Communication Commission expires. Pursuant to article 9 of the Law on Georgia on Broadcasting, 100 days prior to the expiration of the term of a member of the commission, the Government of Georgia shall issue a decree on holding an open competition.

Pursuant to the January 8, 2020 Decree #1 of the Government of Georgia, an open competition was announced on January 8, 2020 in order to fill the vacant position of a member of the Georgian National Communication Commission. Based on the requirements of Georgian legislation, a membership candidate of the Georgian National Communication Commission must enjoy public recognition and trust, and be a holder of a master's degree or its equivalent academic degree in economics, public administration, business administration, law, electronic communications, or journalism, also having at least 10 years of experience, with 3 years of managerial experience.
