Five Candidates to Participate in the Competition for One Vacant Membership of the Georgian National Communication Commission

Five persons have applied to compete for one vacant membership of the Georgian National Communication Commission. Relevant applications, within deadlines, have been submitted to the Administration of the Government by Natia Kuprashvili, Beglar Logua, Nino Kubinidze, Zakaria Kutsnashvili, and Khatuna Maisashvili.

In line with legislation, a list of the candidates and their competition documentations have been made public on the official website of the Government Administration.

On October 29, 2019, one of the members of the Georgian National Communication Commission was relieved of duty based on the Decree N5205-IS of the Georgian Parliament. Pursuant to paragraph 5, article 9 of the Law on Georgia on Broadcasting, within ten days after a member of the commission is relieved of duty, the Government of Georgia shall issue a decree on holding an open competition.

Pursuant to the November 7, 2019 Decree #2312 of the Government of Georgia, an open competition was announced on November 7, 2019 in order to fill the vacant position of a member of the Georgian National Communication Commission. Based on the requirements of Georgian legislation, a membership candidate of the Georgian National Communication Commission must enjoy public recognition and trust, and be a holder of a master's degree or its equivalent academic degree in economics, public administration, business administration, law, electronic communications, or journalism, also having at least 10 years of experience, with 3 years of managerial experience.
