Four Individuals Compete for One Vacant Position at GNCC Print Version

Four individuals have expressed their interest in the contest for a vacant position of a Member of the Georgian National Communications Commission (GNCC). Relevant applications and required documents have been submitted to the Government Administration by Maia Metskhvarishvili, Mariam Sulaberidze, Ivane Makharadze and Kakhi Bekauri.

Deadline for application expired on November 15, 2019. In line with the legislation of Georgia, list of candidates and documents submitted by them will be uploaded to the website of the Government Administration.

One of the Members of the GNCC will end the current tenure on January 24, 2020. In line with Article 9.5 of the Law of Georgia on Broadcasting, Government of Georgia issued a Resolution on holding an Open Contest 100 days prior to the end of a tenure of a GNCC Member.

Open contest was thus announced for the vacant position of a GNCC Member from October 17, 2019 in line with Government Resolution N2164 dated October 17, 2019. In line with requirements defined in the legislation of Georgia, candidate for the position of a GNCC Member should be an individual of public recognition and trust, who has a Master's Degree in Economics, Public Administration, Business Administration, Law, Electronic Communications or Journalism as well as any other equalized to the aforementioned. Candidates should also have a work experience of no less than 10 years, out of which 3 at a management position.
