Mikheil Chkhenkeli got appointed as a Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia. Order of Appointment was signed by Giorgi Gakharia, Prime Minister of Georgia today.
Mikheil Chkhenkeli has been Adviser on Education to the Prime Minister of Georgia till present. In 2017-2018 he served as a Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia. Prior to that he was a Pro-Rector of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU).
Mikheil Chkhenkeli has a PhD and is a member of American Association of University Professors (AAUP).
