National Flags Flown at Half-Staff over Administrative Buildings throughout Georgia Print Version

On the Prime Minister's orders, national flags are flown at half-staff over administrative buildings throughout Georgia, to mark the 11th anniversary of the Russo-Georgia War.


On the instructions of the Head of Government, the flag over the Administration of the Georgian Government is also flown at half-staff.
Eleven years have passed since the Russo-Georgia War. As a result of Russian aggression, 408 people were killed, including 169 Defense Ministry personnel, 14 employees of the Interior Ministry, and 224 civilians, and upward of 1,700 people were wounded or injured, and 130,000 peaceful citizens were forced to leave their homes.
