Hungarian Prime Minister’s State Visit Begins Print Version

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán arrived to Georgia today for a state visit.

The Hungarian delegation includes the Prime Minister's spouse Anikó Lévai, Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó, Minister of National Economy Mihály Varga, Minister of Human Resources Zoltán Balog, Minister of Agriculture Sándor Fazekas, Secretary of State for Energy in the Ministry of National Development András Aradszki, and Head of the Prime Minister's Office János Nagy.

An official welcoming ceremony will be held at the Administration of the Government of Georgia at 10 am, on April 21. Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili will hold a bilateral meeting with his Hungarian counterpart, followed by a larger format meeting.

During the Hungarian Prime Minister's state visit various documents will be signed by the governments of the two countries. At 11:30 am, Viktor Orbán and Giorgi Kvirikashvili will make a joint statement.

During the Hungarian Prime Minister's state visit, the Georgia-Hungary Business Forum will be held at the Courtyard Marriott Hotel in Tbilisi, with Giorgi Kvirikashvili and Viktor Orbán addressing the participants at noon.

Viktor Orbán is also scheduled to hold meetings with Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili and Chair of the Parliament Irakli Kobakhidze.

As part of his state visit, the Prime Minister of Hungary will lay a wreath at the Memorial to the Fallen Heroes in the Fight for Georgia's Unity.
