Prime Minister of Georgia wishes a happy birthday to His Holiness and Beatitude Ilia II. Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, His Holiness and Beatitude Ilia II turns 81 on January 4. A reception dedicated to this event was held at the Patriarchate of Georgia today. Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili and his family attended the reception. Garibashvili personally wished Catholicos-Patriarch a happy birthday.
"I am happy that we the Georgians have such a wise and worthy patriarch as you. You have worked miracles in have revived the spiritual life of our nation. Please accept my wishes for length of days and health, and may you see and live in unified Georgia," Prime Minister addressed Patriarch.
In response, Patriarch thanked Prime Minister and other members of the government and wished them success in their future activities.
"Tell the people that God is the Lord. It is the Lord who accomplishes everything. My wish for Georgia is to be unified under your leadership, so we may celebrate this event," Patriarch of Georgia pointed out in his speech.
