Georgian Prime Minister visits Azerbaijan

Georgian Delegation visited Azerbaijan this morning. The delegation is composed of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Energy and Economy of Georgia, as well as the State Minister for Diaspora Issues, the Head of the Partnership Fund and the Head of Georgian Development and Research Institute.

After the official meeting ceremony at Heydar Aliyev International Airport, the Prime Minister, with the members of Georgian Delegation, proceeded to the Honorable Funeral Alley, where he laid a wreath and a bunch of flowers on the graves of the national leader of Azerbaijanian people, Heydar Aliyev and his wife, Zarifa Aliyeva.

After the Honorable Funeral Alley, the Georgian Delegation, with the leadership of the Prime Minister, proceeded to the Shakhids Alley and laid wreaths on the Eternal Flame Complex. A meeting of Georgian Prime Minister, Bidzina Ivanishvili, with the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, was held at Zagulba Palace. The meeting was of familiarization nature; the parties talked about deepening the mutual relations even more and prospects of future cooperation. At the meeting, conversation also referred to the issue of export of energy resources.

Within the framework of the visit, the Prime Minister of Georgia met face to face with Azerbaijani Prime Minister, Artur Rasizade, after the end of which an expanded meeting with participation of delegations of the two countries was held. At the end, Bidzina Ivanishvili made a comment for representatives of Georgian and Azerbaijani media and answered their questions.
