On October 4, 2011, the Prime Minister took part and delivered a speech at a business forum Invest in Georgia. The Gateway to Europe, organized by the Financial Times. During his speech, 
Nika Gilauri talked about business environment in Georgia and investment potential of the country.
"Our main goal is to create comfortable environment for private sector. We have already had results of this. It is necessary to look at all laws and regulations in terms of private sector. We have aimed to create such an environment where corruption would equal zero, taxes would be law and logistics would be efficient.
Do not consider Georgia as a market of four million. Let's consider it as a regional center, which has concluded more than one free trade agreements. For example, with Turkey and GSP+ Agreement with European Union. This is at a market of at least 250 million. Many companies visit Georgia, start business and then expand it all over the region; our country has become main crossroads of the region. Many companies visit Georgia to invest money.
As for export, first of all, we shall name vehicles. Companies prefer to bring cars in Georgia and deliver them to Armenia, Azerbaijan and Central Asia. Georgia is a conductor country with a view to transport, energy resources and regional trade," declared the Prime Minister of Georgia during his speech at the forum.
"There is a great interest towards Georgia in Singapore in terms of making investments in energy sector as well as in oil-processing and metallurgy sectors. In today's situation, when world economy does not increase in such high rates as it was anticipated, investors search for new places and new countries to renew their investments. Today, it is obvious that Georgia is one of such countries," pointed out Nika Gilauri after the forum had been finished.
