Ilia Darchiashvili Appointed Head of Government Administration Print Version

Ilia Darchiashvili has been put in charge of the Administration of the Georgian Government.

The new Head of the Administration was appointed today by Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili.

The Head of Government wished the new Head of the Administration success in his work.

Before appointment as Head of the Administration, Ilia Darchiashvili served as Georgia's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Poland, and as Ambassador-at-Large before that. He has years of experience in diplomatic work.

At different times, Ilia Darchiashvili served as First Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure, Executive Director of the Municipal Development Fund, while previously having been engaged in the private sector. Ilia Darchiashvili is a graduate of Tbilisi Ivane Javakhishvili State University and a holder of a master's degree in business administration from Grenoble Graduate School of Business, France.
