544 new cases have been confirmed in the past 24 hours, Berdia Sichinava, Deputy Head of the Task Force under the Interagency Coordination Council, stated during today's briefing at the Administration of the Government.

He reported the latest COVID-19 statistics.
"Allow me to quote the latest coronavirus statistics posted on stopcov.ge as of February 10.
18,224 tests have been conducted throughout the country under the intensive testing program in the past 24 hours, including 11,615 antigen tests and 6,629 PCR tests.
Consequently, we have 544 new cases confirmed in the past 24 hours. Since the first outbreak of COVID-19 in the country, we have had a total of 263,601 confirmed cases.
As for positive test rates, the daily statistics for February 9 are 2.98%, and 3.64% and 3.41% for the past 14 and 7 days, respectively.
We have 469 recoveries in the past 24 hours, increasing the total number of recoveries to 255,385.

Unfortunately, 5 people have died in the past 24 hours. Since the outset of the pandemic, we have had a total of 3,311 fatalities.
Of the 544 cases identified today, 226 were confirmed in Tbilisi, 29 in Adjara, 78 in Imereti, 23 in Kvemo Kartli, 43 in Shida Kartli, 26 in Guria, 57 in Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti, 38 in Kakheti, 6 in Mtskheta-Mtianeti, 13 in Samtskhe-Javakheti, and 5 in Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti.

Presently, we have 4,879 active infection cases. 2,094 persons are treated in hospitals, including 953 in Tbilisi, 171 in Adjara, and 464 in Imereti. We have 471 severe cases, including 198 in Tbilisi, 49 in Adjara, and 116 in Imereti, of whom 133 are on a ventilator, including 96 in Tbilisi, 6 in Adjara, and 18 in Imereti.
316 persons are in clinical hotels, including 153 in Tbilisi, 152 in Adjara, and 11 in Imereti. 2,469 persons are recovering at home.
We have 421 persons in quarantine zones, including 213 in Tbilisi and 110 in Adjara.

From October 6 through February 9, a total of 22,715 persons have been transported from the state border into quarantine zones.
Presently, 12,884 persons are self-isolating, including 7,539 in Tbilisi, 684 in Adjara, and 1,410 in Imereti," Berdia Sichinava said.
