As of today, 3 120 new cases are confirmed in the last 24 hours. It was announced by Alexandre Khojevanishvili, Head of Task Force operating at the Inter-Agency Coordination Council at a press-briefing held at the Government Administration today.

He spoke about the most recent statistical data related to COVID-19 and measures taken by the Government of Georgia within the last 24 hours.

"As of today, 3 120 new cases of infection are confirmed in the last 24 hours. Since the detection of the first case of COVID-19 the total number of infected people has reached 69 681 so far.

Positive trend is maintained towards the growing number of recoveries and namely 2 358 individuals recovered in the last 24 hours, while the total number of recoveries has reached 52 169.

Unfortunately, 33 people died of COVID in the last 24 hours, out of which 11 fatal outcomes have occurred in Tbilisi, 11 - in Adjara, 7 - in Imereti, 1 - in Kvemo Kartli, 1 - in Guria and 2 - in Mtskheta-Mtianeti. Since 26th February 2020 total number of COVID-19 deaths has reached 599.

Out of 3 120 cases identified today, geographic coverage can be presented as follows: 1 033 cases were confirmed in Tbilisi, 502 - in Adjara, 517 - in Imereti, 192 - in Kvemo Kartli, 126 - in Shida Kartli, 95 - in Guria, 332 - in Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti, 100 - in Kakheti, 107 - in Mtskheta-Mtianeti, 95 - in Samtskhe-Javakheti, 21 - in Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti.

At present, the number of active infections is 16 887. 4 918 individuals are treated at hospitals, out of which 2 383 are stationed in Tbilisi, 801 - in Adjara and 973 - in Imereti. Acute health conditions are observed in the case of 652 patients, out of which 317 are based in Tbilisi, 103 - in Adjara and 159 - in Imereti. Out of them, lung ventilators are used in the case of 329 patients, from which 162 are stationed in Tbilisi, 90 - in Adjara and 33 - in Imereti. 3 311 individuals are placed under a medical care at COVID Hotels, out of which 1 560 are based in Adjara, 1 207 - in Tbilisi and 284 - in Imereti. 8 658 individuals are getting medical treatment at home.

2 506 individuals are in quarantine, out of which 370 are based in Tbilisi, 1 307 - in Adjara and 39 - in Imereti.

In total 14 354 individuals were transported from the border in the period of October 6-November 11, 2020.

As of today, 40 475 individuals are in self-isolation, out of which 6 726 are based in Tbilisi, 16 997 - in Adjara and 4 328 - in Imereti" noted Alexandre Khojevanishvili.
