On November 4, 2019, the Georgian Government's electronic petition portal, ichange.gov.ge, posted a petition initiated by Ana Dolidze to adopt gambling regulations and to ban all types of gambling advertising. Before the 30-day period allocated for collecting signatures in support of the petition, in excess of 10,000 signatures have been collected, which is more than required.

Based on the May 18, 2017 Decree #245 of the Government of Georgia, said petition will be referred for processing and preparing for reviewing to the Expert Commission at the Administration of the Georgian Government. According to the decree, the Administration of the Government of Georgia will post an official written response on the petition site within 3 (three) calendar months.

Notably, in line with the principles of open governance, the Government of Georgia-in order to ensure greater governance openness, and to better mechanisms for citizen engagement in decision-making, and to enhance access to said mechanisms-has issued the Decree on Electronic Petitions and created the ichange.gov.ge portal.
