Georgia Hosts Eastern Partnership Panel on Public Administration Reform

Georgia is hosting the Eastern Partnership Panel on Public Administration Reform. Head of the Administration of the Georgian Government Kakha Kakhishvili opened the event today.

The main topic of the two-day meetings is public administration reform. During the meetings, delegates from the EU and Eastern Partnership member states will share their experience.

Today, the event's participants discussed public administration reform challenges and achievements, and studied different country cases for planning and implementation models of public administration reform.

Kakha Kakhishvili thanked the delegates for participating in the event, and spoke about the importance of public administration reform.

"The Eastern Partnership member states take keen interest in ushering in EU standards based on the principles of good governance, with public administration reform as one of its components. Georgia has accumulated considerable experience in public administration reform, and we are ready to share it in the working meeting format. Depoliticized and professionalism-based public service is the foundation of democratic governance," Kakha Kakhishvili stated.

As part of the event, the delegates with visit the Tech Park, a practical example of innovative public administration.
