Today the Government held a Donor Coordination Meeting on Social Welfare to Improve the Efficiency of Foreign Aid. The meeting covered wide range of areas, including: foreign aid and social welfare; affordable and high-quality healthcare, fostering healthy life-style choices, social model of evaluation and granting the disability status as well as the second phase of de-institutionalization; optimization of resources for IDPs; social-economic impact of culture and healthcare in penitentiary facilities.

Deputy Minister of Healthcare, Labor and Social Affairs Nino Berdzuli and Humanitarian Aid and Development Cooperation Attache of Czech Republic to Georgia Jan Černík co-chaired the meeting held at "Courtyard Marriott.

The Government of Georgia organizes six thematic donor coordination meetings annually. The aforementioned meetings cover following topics - sustainable management of natural resources; economic growth; human resource development; rule of law; democratic governance.
