Sopo Japaridze and Tatia Rogava Participate in the regional forum - Sustainable Development for the ENECE Region Print Version

The Prime Minister's Assistant for Human Rights and Gender Equality Sopo Japaridze and Head of the Service for Coordination with Donors at the Administration of the Government Tatia Rogava took part in the Geneva Regional Forum "Sustainable Development for the ENECE Region."

Sopo Japaridze spoke of initiatives seeking to ensure the implementation of the fifth sustainable development goal, which involves ensuring gender equality and empowerment of all women and girls. She also discussed the legislative amendments and institutional reforms implemented lately in the country to this end.

Tatia Rogava overviewed the nationalization process of the sustainable development goals and emphasized monitoring of the implementation indicators.

Georgia, with active support and assistance from UN agencies, launched the nationalization of the sustainable development goals in 2015 by giving national priority to all 17 goals.
