The Georgian Prime Minister Nika Gilauri was in Indonesia where the Annual Meeting of the Governing Board of Asian Bank for Development was held on May 2-5, 2009. At that meeting Georgia was holding the status of the co-chairperson for the first time.

Within the framework of the visit the Prime Minister of Georgia met the President of Asian Bank for Development Haruhiko Kuroda and the representatives of management level of the Bank.

At the meeting the talked about the progress of the aid rendered by Asian Bank for Development to Georgia in 2008.

They also thoroughly discussed the assistance received by Georgia from the Asian Bank for Development in 2009.

They signed an agreement on allocation of funds for road infrastructure rehabilitation which will be fulfilled in this and the next years.

Negotiations related to 20010-year financing were conducted.
