Meeting of November 13, 2007

On November 13, 2007 was held the Meeting of the Government of Georgia. The agenda consisted of 45 items.

In the beginning of the Meeting the Prime Minister of Georgia Zurab Noghaideli informed those attended that on November 14 the Prime Minister of Georgia will arrive with the working visit in Ankara where will be held the negotiations with Turkey on free trade and other economical issues. He stated that the agreement on free trade with Turkey will be of top importance in conditions of economic ban introduced by the Russian Federation. This agreement shall help us especially in the export of agricultural product that is one of the main directions of our national economy.

The Prime Minister of Georgia noted that this year the citruses harvest is rather rich. For gathering in and storage of this product without losses as well as during the vintage it is necessary to establish the standing headquarters which will operate in Batumi and will coordinate all works connected with gathering in the harvest. He ordered to the minister for agriculture Petre Tsiskarishvili to implement necessary measures and to send to the business trip to Batumi the special representative of the ministry of agriculture for the period of harvesting.
