Vladimer Gurgenidze laid foundation to the construction of a multi-profile hospital

On December 23, the Prime Minister of Georgia Vladimer Gurgenidze and the Minister of Labor, Healthcare and Social Protection Davit Tkeshelashvili attended the ground-braking of a multi-profile hospital in Digomi. The construction is being carried out within the framework of the program: 100 new Hospitals in Georgia. The construction will be performed by the BlockGeorgia Company. The hospital will contain approximately 300 beds and about 600 qualified personnel will be employed there.

According to the prime minister's words, not a single hospital has been built during the last 20 years. Therefore, building the hospital facilities is only one, significant part of the ongoing reform. Implementation of similar projects is being planned in the regions too and in a few years modern and high quality healthcare system, accessible to everyone, will be established in Georgia. Along with other companies, BlockGeorgia is an active participant of the said project. It is natural, that these types of projects assist to the resolution of the unemployment problems: after completion of the construction 600 persons will find jobs there and many more will also be involved in the construction process. - "It is of paramount importance to review the strategy of BlockGeorgia in planning the development of the center, because this time, we are laying foundation to a central hospital and its network will cover the whole territory of the country. Our task is to give every patient the service of similar quality, despite the geographical location. It is also of great significance that apart from networking service, in all villages the population will be able to apply to the village doctor for consultation and get the clinical service on the spot. These issues are under constant scrutiny of the ministry of healthcare," - the prime minister asserted.

Later in the day, Vladimer Gurgenidze visited the Iashvili Republican Pediatric Hospital and attended presentation of the network aiming at extending medical care to the regions. The mentioned projects are being implemented by the BlockGeorgia, PSP, Aversi, the New Style and Aword companies.
